| The Victorian Amateur Pistol Association is the only Victorian Target Pistol Shooting body affiliated with Pistol Australia. Through our affiliation to Pistol Australia, VAPA is the only body to offer members a pathway for selection in Australian Teams to the Commonwealth Games, Olympic Games and other international target shooting competitions including ISSF World Cups and NRA Bianchi Cup.
Through our association with Pistol Australia, VAPA is affiliated with Australian International Shooting Limited (AISL), the Australian Sports Commission (ASC), the International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF), Australian Commonwealth Games Association (ACGA) and the Oceania Shooting Federation.
Other Pistol Australia affiliations include the World Association 1500 and the National Rifle Association (NRA) of America.

Joe Doherty
28th April 2012
Joe Doherty, stalwart of the Sale Pistol Club and many time member of the Victorian Service Pistol Team passed away on Wednesday 25th April 2012, in Peter McCallum Hospital after a short battle with illness.
Joe will be remembered as the consummate Club and Team man, always putting Club and Team before himself.
Condolences to Joe's Family and friends.
